MAC Meeting - Mount St Helens: Evidence for Noah’s Flood

  • The Rock Church in Ballwin 15101 Manchester Rd Ballwin, MO, 63011 United States (map)

The 1980 eruption of Mt St Helens in Washington state was an awesome display of sheer destructive power, with multiple distinct events interweaving into a catastrophic complex unlike any that had been observed in the modern era. In this presentation, we'll break down the sequence of events that occurred on that fateful day, as well as the subsequent eruptions that took place over the next few years.

Zak Klein spent a summer in the Mount St Helens area, studying and leading tours of the landmarks left behind from those events. Come and hear of Zak’s firsthand explorations as he looks behind the scenes at the fascinating geologic and biologic features that emerged before, during, and after the eruptions - features that shed light on the kind of catastrophes that took place during and after Noah's Flood.
