He Made The Stars, Also
Perhaps the most understated part of God’s creative acts in Genesis 1 is the celestial realm. The creation of uncountable billions of stars is summed up in the brief phrase, “He made the stars also” (Genesis 1:16). Behind these few words lies an entire universe of beauty and wonder for us to admire. In this presentation, we’ll consider what the Bible tells us about the stars, what science helps us learn about them, and how these two sources can illuminate each other. Throughout, we’ll be reminded that God’s creation is amazing and rewards those who study it (Psalm 111:2)!
