Scott Jarus has been a MAC Speaker since 2009, started leading the MAC Zoo Tours in 2012, and joined the MAC leadership board in 2023. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now MS&T) and is currently employed as a senior application and estimating engineer for a company that designs material handling systems. He and his wife of 40+ years have attended Fellowship of Wildwood church since 2020 and are parents to four homeschool graduates. Scott co-leads a small group fellowship there.
Scott was saved in 1998, being convinced by the Spirit through the conversion of his wife and the truth of the Bible. Scott mocked the account of Noah’s flood when his wife said it was true, but then God powerfully used Creation apologetics to open his eyes and his heart to the veracity of His Word. With Genesis as a faithful, historical account, the gospel message then became clear and Scott recognized his desperate need for a Savior in Jesus Christ.
Being born again, he continued to study God’s Word, the creation/evolution debate, and also attended a “Creation College” hosted by Answers In Genesis. He has been teaching regarding God’s creation since 2001 at various churches and at MAC events. Scott has a passion for others to trust God’s Word from the very first verse and to understand the importance of Genesis as the foundation of the Christian faith.
